ABOUT INSIDE INTRUSIVE
WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE
This platform is designed to be a place of comfort and connection for people living with OCD, where support and understanding can often feel scarce.
Our memberships offer two levels of support, both focused on reducing shame, fostering connection, and building the community that many people with OCD feel is missing.
The site also features a lived-experience blog, available to everyone. Reading the experiences of others can help ease feelings of isolation and remind you that you are not facing OCD alone.
For those who do not wish to join a membership, our virtual larger events are available to book as a one off for £7.50.
Inside Intrusive in-person events will be put on here for booking when planned, mainly hosted in London and Manchester.
WHY I FOUNDED INSIDE INTRUSIVE
For me, OCD bred off isolation, the feeling that no one could possibly have experienced what I was experiencing. Through my social media and advocacy work, I’ve seen first-hand just how untrue that is.
Inside Intrusive is me wanting all of you to see that too.
I couldn’t be more excited, or more emotional, to host a space of zero shame, community and lived experience to support people through OCD and other taboo mental illnesses.

My OCD Story

Growing up, I was always labelled the anxious child. I worried constantly, struggled to sleep, and often felt a sense of impending doom that I couldn’t explain. Looking back, OCD was there long before I knew what it was.
Like many people, I thought OCD was about cleanliness and organisation. I was messy, chaotic, and disorganised, so I never imagined it could apply to me.
Then, when I was 15, my fears shifted dramatically. What had once been worries about danger and losing loved ones became an overwhelming fear that I might be a paedophile.
The shame was overwhelming. I felt completely alone and unable to tell anyone what was happening. From the outside, I looked fine and the extent to which no one knew what was happening in my mind was scary.
Everything began to change years later when I came across a video on TikTok about intrusive thoughts. For the first time, I saw my experience reflected back at me. That discovery led me to learn about OCD, seek therapy, and eventually receive a diagnosis nearly seven years after the disorder had taken over my life.
Understanding OCD gave me my life back. I learned that the problem was never the thoughts themselves, but the way my brain responded to uncertainty and perceived danger. Today, I can recognise those patterns for what they are.
I started posting online about OCD and intrusive thoughts as a way of documenting my own experience and, if I was lucky, finding someone who understood what I was going through.
Two and a half years later, with almost 40,000 followers and opportunities to share my story across national media, I could never have imagined the conversations it would spark or how many people have been affected by this cruel and misunderstood disorder.
Inside Intrusive means more to me than I can fully put into words, but I hope that is reflected in everything we do.
Whether you join as a beginner and simply access resources or attend an event quietly while finding your feet, or become part of our full membership and connect with others who truly understand, my hope is that you never feel shame here.
This is a place where your voice can be heard, where you are understood, and where you never have to face OCD alone.
